Equality and Diversity Education Officers Network Scotland (EDEONS)

EDEONS  is a network for officers in local authorities who are assisting the development and promotion of equality, anti-discrimination and inclusion work in schools.

The network meets three times per year in Edinburgh.

The network is an opportunity for officers to discuss latest equality legislation, policy and research developments relating to curriculum and learning and teaching. It is also a forum for sharing practice and concerns.

Academics, policy makers, organisations and practitioners interested in providing an input to the network are asked to contact Alan Bell who co-ordinates the network.  A message can be left for Alan on 0131 651 6371 or via e-mail to abell4@education.ed.ac.uk

The next meeting of EDEONS is on March 4th 2008.  There will be another meeting in June 2008, date to be confirmed.
