A Study of Migrant Workers in Grampian(2007) This study was commissioned by Communities Scotland, Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeenshire Council, The Moray Council,Scottish Enterprise Grampian and NHS Grampian. The research was carried out by the University of Highlands and Islands Policy web under senior researcher Philomena de Lima. CERES associate Maariyah Masud Chaudhry and CERES Director Rowena Arshad contributed to the fieldwork and writing of the report.
Guidance On Dealing With Homophobic Incidents: Phase 1 Report and Recommendations (2006) The LGBT Youth Scotland report on how homophobic incidents and homophobia is dealt with in Scottish schools.
CERES provided support to LGBT Youth Scotland in this report.
Ethnic Identity and the Census Research Report (2005)
This collaborative research was led by BMRB Social Research with CERES and the UHI Policy Web. The research was to inform the development of a classification of ethnic identity for Scotland; ideally one that would meet a variety of needs. The research explored how individuals would wish to classify their ethnic identity ('data providers'), whilst looking at the informational needs of those using such data ('data users'). This research is helping to inform the categorizations for the 2011 Census.
Our Rights, Our Choices: Meeting the information needs of black and minority ethnic disabled people (2004)
This research was led by the Disability Rights Commission in partnership with CERES. The report documents the findings from postal questionnaires and three consultation meetings with disabled black and minority ethnic people on ways to improve access to information and service delivery.
Audit of Research on Minority Ethnic Issues in Scotland from a 'Race' Perspective (2001)
This report identifies and reviews research relating to minority ethnic people in Scotland, discusses key themes arising from identified research, highlights research gaps and makes recommendations for future. There is an education section within the report. CERES staff wrote the education chapter.
