Judith Mackinlay (Associate)
Since May 2005, Judith has been working with CERES on the Scottish Government funded project Mainstreaming Equality and Anti-discrimination into the Curriculum, devising a framework for mainstreaming equality and anti-discrimination into the curriculum; writing and piloting teaching materials for the primary sector and sharing these with others working in the field. Currently she is part of the team in CERES working on updating the anti-sectarian web resource ‘Don’t Give It, Don’t Take It’. She is a parent, class teacher, drama specialist, storyteller and a director of The Equality Network.
Judith has developed her understanding of equality and anti-discriminatory practice through personal experience and voluntary work. She has also taught counselling skills to adults. Her interests in emotional literacy, creative thinking skills and collaborative group work all inform her approach to discrimination and inequality.
