Background and Remit

The Centre for Education for Racial Equality in Scotland (CERES) was set up in 1991 following consultation with minority ethnic representatives, racial equality practitioners, teachers and academics in Scotland.  CERES is funded by the Scottish Government to provide advise nationally and is open on Mondays and Thursdays each week.

CERES works with the Government, the Equality and Human Rights Commission, local authorities, schools, teachers, parents and other organizations and individuals to promote race equality by:

CERES Consultancy

CERES and her associates are available to provide bespoke services to assist organisations (public, private and voluntary) embed equality, diversity and anti-discrimination issues into various aspects of their organization e.g. service delivery, stakeholder engagement, policy development and implementation.

CERES is able to provide robust advice to Boards of organizations on embedding equality and diversity into governance and organizational frameworks.
