IS Support Team
The School IS support team is made
up of two people permanently based at Moray House; with a further person
supplied on a rotational basis from the HSS support team at George Square.
It is extremely important that our customers contact the team via the Helpdesk.
Do not contact team members directly. There are 3 ways to contact the Helpdesk:
Email

All emails are automatically entered in to the University Call Management
System (CMS). You will receive a reply with a CMS call number. This is the
preferred method for contact as it provides a very good audit trail for the
team.
Telephone
0131 651 6689. The phone is staffed Monday to Friday from 9am
to 5pm.
Call in
Room 1.8 in Thomson's Land. The office is staffed Monday to Friday
from 9am to 5pm.

Gavin Anderson
Gavin has been with HSS support since 2005 and he
is based between Moray House and George Square on a rotational basis.
Gavin previously worked with Adobe and has an excellent knowledge
of all things PDF.

Ross Coleman
Ross first came to HSS support as a placement student in 2005 while studying
for his degree in Software Engineering. On completion of his course Ross became
a full time member of the team. Ross is based between Moray House and George
Square on a rotational basis.

Alastair
Dodds
Alastair is the System Administrator of FirstClass, the school
based communication and e-Learning software. FirstClass is currently
the main course delivery service used in Moray House. Alastair will
advise on any course setup queries in FirstClass. Alastair is permanently
based at Moray House. |

Christina
Hussell
Christina has been a member of IS support since 1999
and is based between Moray House and George Square. Christina has a
special interest in database design using both MS Access and FileMaker
Pro, and in helping people set up and edit Wikis. Christina is also
involved in delivering courses for DreamWeaver and Excel.

Marc Jennings
Marc has been a member of HSS support since 2005 and
is also based between Moray House and George Square. Marc is currently
enhancing his knowledge of VB script and application software such
as Word. Marc has knowledge of Linux, which he currently uses in his
life outside the University.

Fiona Vine
Fiona has been part of the Moray House team
since 1995. Fiona has an overview of support at Moray House
and would welcome on-going feedback from Moray House users on service
provided by the team. Fiona is based permanently at Moray House, working
Monday to Thursday.
