Your Dictionary logo

Online dictionaries may be particularly useful as you get your head around the terminology you will encounter in first year.

Your dictionary gives some clear and useful advice about using sociological dictionaries.

Dead Sociologists Index logo

The Dead Sociologists Index (while having a slightly disturbing name!) has some great entries on folk like Addams, Durkheim, Marx and Weber. The entries include brief biographies, summaries of their ideas and discussions on their central works. Well worth a look!
