| Introduction |
The
Edinburgh Centre for Mathematical Education (ECME) was established
in October 1984 to support the learning of mathematics at school and
university, to provide support courses for teachers and to undertake
research in mathematical education. The merger with Moray House Institute
of Education in 1998 provided opportunities to build on previous co-operation,
to enlarge the community of researchers and strengthen links with schools.
The Centre acts as a focus for mathematical education in the University.
. |
| The
main activities of the ECME are to: |
