You should look at the task list in Activity 7.1.1 whether you are going to develop your own case study or not so that you understand the framework being used for the case studies in each of the sections in this Unit. By providing a common format, this helps to facilitate comparison between case studies. The second purpose is to provide a template and model for producing your own case study. Keeping case studies and comparing them with developments in subsequent years is a very useful evaluative strategy. Each year group could produce a case study that might form the focus for a celebration of the school’s achievements at the end of the school year and/or a presentation that could be made to parents and the local community.
