Top American Honour for Professor
Ross Sanders

Professor Ross Sanders has received the distinguished honour of being inducted
to the American Academy of Kinesiology and Physical Education (AAKPE) at a ceremony
held recently in Chicago, Illinois. Professor Sanders was one of two individuals
named as International Fellows of the AAKPE.
The AAKPE was established in 1926 to recognise outstanding scholars in the
study of physical activity. Since 1926, only 120 international scholars
and 491 American scholars have been inducted into the Academy. The membership
is capped to165 active fellows. For additional information on the AAKPE please

membership is considered a "who's who list" of the top individuals in the
fields of Kinesiology and Physical Education.
Professor Sanders holds a Chair in Sport Science at the University of Edinburgh's
Moray House School of Education and is Director of the Centre for Aquatics Research
