Abstract |

primary aims of the research project were: |

review the legislative and policy framework for provision
of services for minority ethnic families and families
where English is an additional language. |

review the research base already in existence in this
area. |

review existing services in Edinburgh and what they are
designed to deliver. |

review of relevance, scope and scale of existing services
in relation to needs and identification of the gaps. |

review the access to services and the issues in relation
to this. |

develop recommendations for a strategy on developing
the service to better meet needs of minority ethnic families
and to improve access. |
