Project title Practitioner Led Action Research: The Individual Learning Planning Process

Researcher

Professor Lyn Tett (Higher & Community Education, School of Education) University of Edinburgh

Keywords

Adult literacy and numeracy; practitioner action research

Abstract

This project aimed to support practitioners developing research projects concerned with the individual learning planning process in adult literacy and numeracy and to report on how that process could be strengthened through increasing the skills and awareness of practitioners, both in research and practice. It also identified an approach to practitioner research appropriate to the Scottish context through creating locally-supported groups of critically reflective practitioners who would document and act upon the outcomes of their reflections.
