Abstract

The research will investigate the impact of multiple policy innovation in higher education on the participation and experiences of disabled students with a range of impairments. We plan to examine the effects on disabled students of policies affecting the system as a whole, in particular marketisation, managerialism, wider access and innovations in teaching and learning, and policies aimed particularly at provision for disabled students. Developments in Scotland and England and in different types of institution will be compared. Both quantitative and qualitative methods will be used.
