AHRB Small Grants in the Creative and Performing Arts Scheme

The Small Grants in the Creative and Performing Arts scheme provides awards up to a maximum of £5,000 to meet the costs directly related to advanced research projects in the creative and performing arts only.

British Academy Small Research Grants
Grants of up to £5000 are available for the direct costs of primary research.

British Academy Larger Research Grants
Grants of Over £5,000 and up to £20,000 are available for self-contained projects in the humanities and social.

Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland - Research Grants
The Trust can help members of staff or, on a discretionary basis, retired members of staff of a Scottish University by the provision of small research grants (maximum £2,000) for personal research, personally conducted.

Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland - Larger Grants
Submissions for Larger Grants, up to £30,000, may be made for projects which are of interest to the Scottish universities as a whole.

Edinburgh Development Trust – Small Project Grants
Small Project Grants of up to a maximum of £5,000 are funded by the generous donations of Edinburgh alumni to The University of Edinburgh Development Trust, an associated charity set up to provide philanthropic support for the University.

The Moray Endowment Fund
The Moray Endowment Fund (MEF), with an annual income of approximately £25,000, is used to support original research in any discipline. Grants awarded are usually for less than £2,000 but can be for more in exceptional circumstances.

The Development Trust Research Fund (DTRF)
This Research Fund has been set up with a grant from the Development Trust and with a view to providing a small number of research grants for academic staff employed by the University in the region of £2,000 to £10,000 each.
