The Research Support
Office (RSO)

The Research Support Office (RSO) of The Moray House School of Education
was established to strengthen the research infrastructure of Moray House
by co-ordinating information about school research, and by providing
central support for research activity among academic colleagues. The
RSO works with two sub-committees of the School Research Committee to
distribute School funding for grants to attend research conferences and
to provide seed-corn funding for pilot research projects and 'writing-up'
support for CRS. It provides assistance and advice on external research
funding and also organises research seminars and disseminates research
information to colleagues. The Research Support Office also has available
a small amount of research equipment and resources, designed to supplement
what is already held in departments.
The office is directed by the Associate Dean (Research), assisted by the
Research and Development Officer (Sandra Orr), part-time Senior Researcher
(Jane Brown) with secretarial support provided by Clare Guymer.
Responsibilities of the RSO
include:
- Answering staff queries relating to research and research funding
