Introduction
I am a sociologist of education
and social stratification with a strong interest in
quantitative methods. In April 2000 I was awarded a
PhD in Social and Political Sciences at the European
University Institute (San Domenico di Fiesole, Florence).
Between 1999 and 2007 I was a Research Fellow in the Centre for Educational
Sociology where I was involved in a number of national and international projects
on youth transitions and social mobility.
