    • Transitions (particularly primary to secondary school)
    • Relationships, attachment, social support & social capital
    • School culture & teacher-pupil relationships
    • Self-perceptions and emotional well-being during early adolescence
    • Evaluating interventions

I am currently coordinating two main research projects, having previously carried out an evaluation of an initiative introducing dance into schools in Scotland and a project investigating children and young people's perceptions of health in school:
