Biographical
Note
I have been involved as a practitioner,
researcher and academic in adult and community education since 1980. My
PhD focussed on adult learning in and through popular protests. I am the
co-ordinator of an international popular education network (PEN) for academics
and researchers in higher education. PEN has approximately 160 members
form over 56 institutions in 25 countries. The network operates on a mail
list but also holds regular conferences too. My undergraduate teaching
involves an introductory course on community education and I have responsibility
for teaching adult education at undergraduate and postgraduate level for the
BA Honours and Master's programmes of study.
